GTM Strategy & Prioritization

Why this exists

A single calculator answers one question. Weak marketing leadership rarely fails in one obvious place, it shows up as a pattern across a GTM plan no one follows, growth targets with no math behind them, positioning that could describe any competitor, hiring decisions made under pressure, and strategic bets made on conviction instead of signal. This diagnostic chains 11 of the questions a full strategic review would ask into one guided assessment, so you get a single score and a ranked list of what to look at first.

How the score works

  1. Each question is a quick yes / partial / no self-assessment, since most of what determines marketing leadership effectiveness is a matter of process and clarity, not a number you’d already know off-hand.
  2. Every question has a weight based on how much it typically affects outcomes, and every category score is the weighted average of its questions.
  3. Your overall score is the weighted average of the five category scores, GTM strategy and prioritization weighted highest since it’s usually the root cause behind the other gaps.
  4. The weakest category becomes your free headline result. The specific weakest question inside it, paired with the calculator built for that exact fix, is what unlocks with your email.

FAQ

Is this actually free?

Yes. Anyone can complete all five categories and see their overall score and biggest gap with no email required. The full category-by-category breakdown and the specific fix-this-first recommendation are unlocked with a name and email so I can also send you a copy.

How is the score calculated?

Each question has a weight reflecting how much it typically affects marketing leadership effectiveness. Your answer to each scores 0, 0.5, or 1, multiplied by its weight. Category scores are the weighted average of their questions, and the overall score is the weighted average of the five category scores, all out of 100.

Why does GTM Strategy & Prioritization carry the highest weight?

A missing or unfollowed GTM plan is the root cause behind most of the other gaps this diagnostic checks, teams without one tend to re-decide priorities weekly, which shows up downstream as scattered reporting, unclear positioning, and reactive hiring. It's consistently the highest-leverage place to look first.

What happens after I unlock my results?

You'll see all five category scores, which specific question is dragging your weakest category down, a written explanation of why it matters, and a link to the calculator built specifically for that fix.

Is this a substitute for a full strategic audit?

No, it's a self-assessment based on your own honest answers, meant to point you at where to look first. Read the result as a map, not a verdict, and use the linked calculators or a full consultation to dig into any specific gap.
